User Experience Design (UXD)

User Experience Design (UXD)

Flexewebs have been involved in UXD for some of the world's biggest projects.

Overview

User Experience Design is a research centric approach to service development, ensuring that services offered by a company are: useful, usable and buildable.

It looks at all touch points between business and a customer and aims to make them easy to deal with, consistent and sense-making for customers of any organisation.

Benefits

User Experience Design approach ensures that our clients are working on relevant projects, which are going to be implemented in the way which is most prefered by our client's customers.

It ensures minimal waste of resources, high quality end products and customer satisfaction from start, usually resulting in higher profit margins.

Our approach

Over years we have witnessed many different approaches to User Experience Design.

We have also read books about the subject matter which propose processes that make sense.

Our approach usually results in a mixture of all these approaches and is based on the needs of the particular customer we are dealing with at the time.

We know we cannot impose our own process, unless we are particularly asked to do it, so we have developed a way in which to adapt to internal processes of our clients making sure our approach is always compatible with our clients' approach.

Case study

Flexewebs have been involved in User Experience Design for a flagship UK Central Government project as part of Directgov portal.

We have had to design a service which is targted at some 12 million British Citizens accessing a crucial service for their daily financial existence.

We have successfully ensured the service is useful, usable and buildable through continuous user testing and by utilising practical research.
