Semantic and ubiqutous web is with us right now and we are able to make the most of it for your business
Recently Flexewebs have been asked to advise to W3C on accessible interface development guidelines for Web 2.0 applications.
We are proud to announce that we have recently started extremely challenging and incredibly interesting work for a W3C member who are advising on Web 2.0 and AJAX accessibility standards.
The project which is being used as a testing ground for the guidelines is the largest e-commerce grocery shopping web site in the world, hence the test case is an incredibly good one for guidelines development purposes.
One of the major challenges in this process, of course, is to create JavaScript libraries which can gracefully degrade into AA accessible XHTML/CSS interfaces.
Another challenge, of course, is to create interfaces which are optimised for huge concurrent demand and modularise them using XSLT into most logical parts, so that the system can cache those portions of the interface which will be reused on pages.
So, advising for W3C and working on the world's largest grocery shopping e-commerce web site. We are pretty happy to say that Flexewebs are still moving forward in huge steps.
