About Jason Grant
My name is Jason Grant and I am the owner of Flexewebs Ltd.
I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and a Master’s Degree in Business Information Systems (BIS), so I have some formal education insight into the world of Information Technology.
I started this book with specific aims and objectives. User Interface best practices are based on my research, experience, numerous discussions with developers and business owners and lots and lots of practice and listening.
My experience has been gained working on various size web projects including: small 5 page sites, medium size CMS powered solutions, large sites and gigantic sites (world’s largest in its class).
This emerging book is a constantly improving and developing resource for those who are serious about web user interfaces and want to learn how to produce them to the highest quality standards.
My strongest technologies are XHTML, CSS and PHP, while I am always trying to learn more JavaScript, XSLT and (My)SQL.
In recent years I have also dedicated myself to User Experience Design and the area of usability engineering and testing, focusing on real user needs and research.
I’m quite obsessed with subjects such as: accessibility, usability and software information architecture.
I’m always wondering about how software can be improved, better created and more easily managed.
